That
a comprehensive outreach program be operating from the centre
that hooks into all the significant rural communities in NSW
and that regular workshops and training sessions are initiated
by the centre in these areas.
That
there be more lawyers employed by the centre do able to do research
for lobbying as well as fulfilling the casework and educational
functions and in particular to be instrumental in gathering
more information and statistical data about Aboriginal women
that can then be provided to other centres to help identify
their needs.
It
is also an aim of the Wirringa Baiya to work together with other
Community Legal Centres in providing outreach and Community
Legal Education programs because it is senseless to double up
on expenditure of resources and it would be wonderful to demonstrate
that it can be done.
